[Lily is curled up on her bed crying, the SFC on her vanity broadcasting from where she threw it after checking the list and seeing that James is gone.]

This isn't fair.

[She's kind of a mess. Oh dear.]

[The SFC makes a noise, like she's got a message and she sits up, quickly wiping the tears from her eyes. Nope, no message, but...it's on. Oh bugger it all, it's broadcasting. This is embarrassing and probably the worst possible moment. Note to self, Lily. Don't throw the SFC.]

[She clears her throat, desperately wiping her tears away and trying to smile.]

James is gone.

[And with that, a tear slips down her cheek. There's no point in continuing this, she's not going to be able to say much more, so she just shrugs helplessly and hangs up.]

[Gamzee spots her, raising his hand in greeting as he quickly jogs up. There isn't a verbal greet though. No, instead, he just practically slams his too skinny, too long body into hers, wrapping his arms around her tightly in a good old squeezy kinda hug. Hugs are the best for these kinda situations.]

It's gonna be fuckin' fine, you hear. Gonna be all fine.

[Oh, yes. That's just what she needs. Tighthugs. And that brings on another round of sobbing, silently at first, and then she can't hold back. She hugs him back tightly.]

[He just squeezes her tighter, patting her back and letting her cry. It's cool. He's gotten way too used to people sobbing on him. He murmurs soft comforting words though they are kind of meaningless and dumb over all. Stuff about miracles and how things will be fine and a lot of cursing. It is Gamzee, after all.]

[She cries herself out and then is really embarrassed that they've basically just done this on her front lawn. She pulls back to wipe her eyes and smiles at Gamzee, taking his hand and leading him into the house.]

[It's okay. It's not like Gamzee has the capacity to be embarrassed. He walks out without his pants on sometimes. Really. Embarrassment is not a top priority for him in any way, especially not when any of his peeps are hurt.]

There. Don'tcha all fuckin' leak no more now, yeah? Gonna all be drying you right up if you keep with that shit.

[ She laughs softly at that, the way Gamzee talks mamages to be amusing and inspiring at the same time, and she's so grateful to have him here. She squeezes his hand and leads him to the kitchen.]

Would you like some tea and biscuits?

Ain't in the fuckin' habit to all say no to no grub, sis.

[Hey, how many fourteen year old boys did you know who would turn down a free meal?]

[Lily gets a tin of biscuits out of the cupboard and uses magic to heat the kettle, which whistles after only about ten seconds.]

We'll have a real, proper British tea time. You can sit down if you like.

[She levitates a cute little tea set, and sets it on the island in the kitchen, motioning to one of the seats there.]

How do you take your tea?

[he quickly finds a seat, his eyes shining when he watches her perform her magic tricks. Gosh. Life is so beautiful. Even with what harsh thing it was currently dumping on Lily's pan, life was still beautiful.

His diverted attention means he doesn't quite get the question. Well. His diverted attention and the fact that he is a dumbfuck.]

uh. Like. In a cup?

[Lily smiles, pouring the hot water into the teapot on the service tray.]

I meant...would you like cream and sugar? Lemon? Honey?

[All four float onto the island. Lily sits down next to Gamzee and the saucers and cups float off the service tray and into place in front of the two of them. The tea pours itself.]

[He is just staring, utterly transfixed. This is all so very very amazing. So motherfuckin' amazing. Miracles everywhere.]

Sugarrrr

[The word ends up oddly drawn out because half-way through saying it, Gamzee completely forgets he was talking in favour of staring some more. Holy fuckballs, magic was awesome.]

[Lily laughs. She'd forgotten that too much magic overloads Gamzee a little bit. She reaches for the sugar and places it in front of him. No magic, just sugar.]

[He puts some sugar in his tea. And some more. And a bit more. You see, living on druggerific, toxic pies for so long has completely ruined his tastebuds. He doesn't really taste things as much until they taste strong. And all the sugar? Definitely nicely on way to make the tea as sweet as his faygo.]

[Lily raises an eyebrow and sips her tea daintily. Drop of milk, no sugar.]

Got a bit of a sweet tooth there, do ya?
