Charm ☼ 006 [accidental video]

[Lily is curled up on her bed crying, the SFC on her vanity broadcasting from where she threw it after checking the list and seeing that James is gone.]

This isn't fair.

[She's kind of a mess. Oh dear.]

[The SFC makes a noise, like she's got a message and she sits up, quickly wiping the tears from her eyes. Nope, no message, but...it's on. Oh bugger it all, it's broadcasting. This is embarrassing and probably the worst possible moment. Note to self, Lily. Don't throw the SFC.]

[She clears her throat, desperately wiping her tears away and trying to smile.]

James is gone.

[And with that, a tear slips down her cheek. There's no point in continuing this, she's not going to be able to say much more, so she just shrugs helplessly and hangs up.]

[Dangit she feels so off her game and unattractive and emotional, but if there's one person she does want to see, who can understand, it's Sirius.]

Yes. Come in, Sirius.

[She jumps up to look in the mirror, trying to fix her hair and make her face look a little less puffy and wet with tears.]

[ Quietly, he opens the door and closes it behind him to grant a little more privacy. Without a word, he walks over and pulls her into a tight hug, not caring at all if her hair was messed up or her face puffy.]

....It'll be all right..

[He wasn't a hundred percent sure of that, but it was all he could really think to say.]

[She sighs heavily, burying her face in his shoulder.]

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. This place took Remus and then it took you twice and now James. You came back, but...Remus didn't, Sirius. Remus never came back.

[Silent tears are streaming from her eyes, wetting the shoulder of Sirius' shirt quite thoroughly.]

[He hopes she doesn't feel his wince from her words and he tries to cover by making his tone a little lighter when he speaks.]

Technically...Remus came back twice...he just left three times too...You know...James left once too, but he still came back. We can't give up, Lils...three days, yeah? Three days and then we can start to worry.
