Charm ☼ 004 [video]
[Lily's set herself up in the library in her house. There's a cauldron in front of her, a small flame flickering beneath it. She stirs the pot three times clockwise, and then four counterclockwise.]
Hello, Vatheon. There are quite a few new people floating about again, so I thought this was a perfect time to post. I'm Lily. As you can see I've been doing a bit of potion brewing. I finally made it down to the Nostalgia Nook, and the shop from my world is absolutely brilliant.
[She pauses to check her potions book and adds an ingredient, tapping the cauldron twice with her wand. Potions is very complicated and delicate.]
I stocked up on ingredients, so after I brewed a few potions for friends of mine, I thought I'd brew a few other useful ones. First of all a big batch of Pepper-Up. [She gestures to the cauldron.] That'll be a cure for the common cold. And hangovers. So if anyone's feeling a bit under the weather, let me know.
That said, [She turns the heat under the cauldron down.] Equius. Sollux. I'm ready when you are.

[ACTION]
What are the Unforgivables?
[ACTION]
[She counts them off on her fingers.]
One, the Imperius Curse. Basically a mind control spell. The caster makes someone else placidly do their bidding. Two, the Cruciatus Curse. A torture spell. It inflicts excruciating pain upon another person. Three, the Killing Curse. Instant death.
[ACTION]
[He seems to sink into himself, eyes squeezing shut tight as he remembers the bright surge of white light...]
[A shudder runs down his spine. Pulling his legs up onto the bed, he hugs his arms around them.]
I'm glad you're better than that.
[ACTION]
[She nods. She is better than that.]
That's how I'll die. The killing curse. Avada Kedavra.
[ACTION]
[He slowly looks her way, expression full of sympathy.]
I've never died like that, but I know people who've been killed by magic.
[ACTION]
At least it's not painful. There are people who have completely lost their minds after being tortured with the Cruciatus Curse for long periods of time.
The wizard who will kill us will try to kill our son, too. But it won't work. He'll survive. The only one who's ever survived it. They call him The Boy who Lived.
[ACTION]
[He makes a hard to read noise.]
At least you have that much, then. No pain.
Can I ask how your earth son survives?
[ACTION]
[ACTION]
[Eyes wide, he stares at her, not quite comprehending.]
That--how did that work?
[ACTION]
[ACTION]
You might be right.
[ACTION]
[ACTION]
[
Even though he's met him here. Strange world.]For me, my ancestor apparently raged so hard at the end of his life that I inherited it from him, expletives and all.
[ACTION]
[She smiles.] Well that explains a lot.
